Nitin Gupta, Core Member

Nitin is product design graduate from Indian Institute of Science. Immediately after completing his graduation in 2013 he founded Sickle Innovations. Prior to that Nitin was Scientist at Indian Space Research Organisation for three years after finishing his mechanical engineering in 2008. His interests range from arts to science to sports. He is an active cyclist and biker. He belongs to a town primarily driven by agriculture. He was grown in farming community and here he brings his experience to understand users’ needs in a better way.

Vinay Reddy, Core Member

Vinay was born in a farming family of a small town. He graduated in Product Design from Indian Institute of Science in 2012. He holds a bachelors degree in  civil engineering from National Institute of Technology, Karnataka. He worked for Ashok leyland before quitting to pursue his passion for product design. His interests include Solar energy, Agriculture, Human Factors, Concept and Mechanism Design. He loves photography and nature.

Malik Kumar, Core Member

Malik hails from a farming family of village located in Kota, Rajasthan. He graduated from Institute of Rural Management, Anand  (IRMA) with MBA in rural management. Malik worked with National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange Ltd (NCDEx) before joining Sickle. He has studied B. Sc. agriculutre. His passion include working on ground problems and bringing right solutions for them.

Dr Dibakar Sen, Advisor

Dr Dibakar Sen is one of the most celebrated personalities of Indian Institute of Science. He is associated to Department of Mechanical Engineering and Centre for Product Design and Manufacturing at IISc. He has served at Indian Space Research Organisation and Steel Authority of India Limited in the past. At Sickle, he monitors and controls the various design phases and technical aspects of product design.

Dr C V Natraj, Advisor

Dr Natraj is a post doctorate in Chemistry field. He has received his education from the top universities of the world . He was Director of Research at Hindustan Lever Limited. Later he headed Unilever as senior vice president for nearly ten years. Dr Natraj renders his advice on strategy and business planning at Sickle. He has been the driving force in the foundation of the company.
